natural skin care

I got invited to a natural skin care class at Everman grocery store by my friend Natalie. I was naturally excited to get out of the house without kiddos. I was definitely looking forward to some much needed girl time. To my surprise, the class was informative, fun and I walked away with some great products!

The teacher was Erin Donohue. She's an esthetician, she owns her own salon "Pretty Girlz".

DAILY:
- cleanser, toner & moisturizer
- I learned about Burts Bee's Toner. She let us sample it. It's rosewater & glycerin. I bought an 8 oz bottle from Everman for $9.99.

WEEKLY:
- mask, exfoliation . We tried Dermae microdermabrasion Scrub to exfoliate. It smelled & felt amazing. It was $28... a little much. I found it on Amazon.com for $17.
- she mentioned using natural yogurt as a mask.
- papaya, pineapple, or avacado are great to hydrate your skin! I definitely need to add a mask to my routine. The pumpkin one we tried was $28 in the store. I definitely want to find a better deal. It's called Mychelle Incredible Pumpkin.

BREAKOUTS:
If they happen on your forehead area, or cheek area it's due to stress. If they happen below your nose, or chin it's because your "time of the month" is coming.

ROSE WATER

- great to use for removing any residual cleanser or makeup
- great to use as a mist to set make - up
- great to revitalize skin in the middle of the day
- I bought a 4 oz bottle for $4.89 from Everman. Charlotte already loves to mist herself with it!

EXFOLIATE

Exfoliate in the shower - with shower gloves. At Everman they were $6. I bought these at Target for $3, AND they're eco friendly!

GET A BODY BRUSH
- she highly recommended if you're doing a detox to use a body brush. It helps get toxins out of the body. I bought this one for $5.99
- I've never heard of body brushing before. I've heard that it's suppose to help cellulite disappear.

DEODORANT
- She highly recommended Crystal Essence Deodorant. That regular deodorant has been linked to many cases of breast cancer. That this deodorant is all natural and contains no aluminum. I bought the lavender & white tea. Paraben free! It was $4.29

We definitely learned a lot, about new products. I'm excited to try a few of them!

--Definitely trying some new green moments!
